This position is full-time and based in our metro accessible Fairfax, VA headquarters office. The Librarian will support the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) line of business within HESP. Job Description:
ICF International seeks a Librarian to work within the Health, Education and Social Programs (HESP) group. This position is full-time and based in our metro accessible Fairfax, VA headquarters office. The Librarian will support the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) line of business within HESP. Currently, FSS has about 30 employees and is led by a Vice President.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct online searches for social science research and evaluation projects using several database platforms.
  • Use various citation formats, e.g APA, MLA, Chicago/Turabian, etc. Use EndNote or another bibliographic citation management product.
  • Develop the Technical Assistance Resource Center.



  • Develop the collection by selecting, cataloging, and maintaining materials in a variety of formats.



  • Maintain and update a Thesaurus
  • Run online libraries.
  • Maintain an organized and effective resource area.

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Master's Degree required Master's in Library Science (MLS) strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working as a research Librarian
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience working as a research Librarian
  • Experience working with a variety of online research tools
  • Experience maintaining a Thesaurus
Professional Skills:
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary
